** South Strut of New Railway Station

 Chief of Project: Yu Xiaoyin
This structure is the strut of the underground garage of South Square of New Railway Station of Shanghai, so it is under the square. The plane form of this structure is trapezoid. The shorter line is 104 meters, the longer line is 110 meters and the height is 119.9 meters.
Around this strut, there are some buildings and equipments, which should be protected. Such as two entrances of subway in the east and rainwater pipeline whose diameter is 1.8 meters is the southeast. This rainwater pipeline is buried 1.5 meters high under the ground. In Moling Road, there are also many pipelines of water, electricity and gas around this structure.
In order to meet the requirement of dimensions of the building environment, during the construction period, underground continuous wall was used as the strut of this project, and in according to the different protection requirement, we adjust the thickness of the wall and add inside frame to make use of both wall and frames.
The digging height of the south of this project is 9 meters and the water digging height is 9.66 meters. There are two reinforced concrete level braces and in the middle of these braces there is a circle whose diameter is 82 meters and around these braces, there is truss. These designs meet the requirement of both support and construction space.
The whole project is successfully completed, and the maximum horizontal displacement is 5 centimeters.
