Square Station of Metro Line 1 Chief of Project: Zhou Dishen People Square Station is one of the biggest stations of Metro Line 1, located in Shanghai's business, culture and political center. This station is connected with Metro Line 2 and planned Metro Line M8. A convenient underground traffic network is set up by interchanging. The length of station is 368.9 meters and the whole building area is 19,224m2 including station sector, crossover sector, main substation (110KV), traction substation and bridge gallery across Renmin Road. The station is the biggest underground developing compound in China with Shanghai Exhibition Hall., Hongkong Shopping Street, Dimei Mall and underground garage (which can park 600 cars). The compound can provide the functions such as traffic facilities, evacuation, parking, crossing the road, shopping and entertainment. The project is issued the first prize of excellent design in Shanghai civil engineering. |
